Al & Katie Juan likes to go fast, say to the tune of high 10s in the quarter-mile. And just how do they do it? Motivating the ’Elco is an 11:1 compression small-block 331, a COMP hydraulic roller and valvetrain, ported cast-iron heads with larger valves, all topped off with an Edelbrock Victor Jr. manifold and a 750-cfm Proform carburetor. Transferring the heat is a built turbo 350 with TCI Automotive internals, including a 3,000-stall converter. Out back is a 12-bolt rearend with a Richmond mini spool, 4.10:1 cogs, and Summers Brothers axles.
