"Pur420" way-back then they had hydraulic brakes (not power) and manual steering, too. You see, it took a real man to be a truck driver. And, they had to have the knowledge of a mechanic, as well. So, it took a special kind of man to be a truck driver, and he was also the guy that loaded and unloaded the truck, so he knew exactly what he was carrying on every load.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they had what we call hydrolic brakes back then.
