Based out of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, the husband and wife team run an era-correct 1957 Corvette AA/GS car at various exhibition events. Powered by a Gellner Engineering-built 496ci big-block Chevy that is supercharged by an actual Hilborn Fuel Injection system, the over 1,000hp-rated car is pretty much over-the-top cool according to fans of all ages. The Corvette was built by Ed and Ray Kasicki (Shalersville, Ohio) and utilizes various period-correct components like a straight-axle frontend, a narrowed 9-inch rearend, and even replica American Racing wheels. Dubbed Crazy Grandpa, the Cook’s Corvette is a very popular fixture because of its awesome burnouts within the eighth-mile Ohio Outlaws and Geezer Gasser circuit events held primarily within the Midwest.
