Cadillac introduced a CTS-V with a 5.7-liter 400-horsepower LS2 V8 engine for 2004, but the 2010 model was better looking and far more powerful. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 spun out 556 horsepower, launching the car to a 4.1-second zero-to-60 mph time and a 12.3-second quarter-mile for Road & Track magazine. The CTS-V's handling was tuned on Germany's famed Nürburgring road course, which also made it a world-class sport sedan; coupe and wagon versions came later. The interior was quite luxurious and pricing was in the $60,000 range, so the CTS-V wasn't built in the spirit of the original muscle car, but its power was unmistakable.
