During the mid-'80s, street rodding went from lean and clean to fat and attack. The fat-fender revolution reflected a resurgence of interest in cars built just before and after World War II. With that in mind, "Fat" Jack Robinson took the fat-fender thing two steps further. He pro-streeterized the then-forgotten postwar Fords, and with the help of engine builder and cam grinder George Striegel, he began racing his '46 coupe. Although Robinson's simple but stylish plump-fender Ford ended up in a ball, it proved that a beaned-out Porky-six could haul class.
