This is a 1929 Duesenberg Model-J with bodywork built by the Walter M. Murphy Company, of Pasadena, California. IMHO. the disappearing-top Murphy 'Deusey' is simply the greatest work of automotive art ever to come together in the USofA - or anywhere else for that matter! Although not the best businessmen, the Deusenberg brothers, August & Fred (not to be confused with Jake and Elwood!) were - and, IMHO, still are - the most-talented automobile "crafters" ever to "come down the pike!" THANKS for posting this outstanding image of a by-gone era!
