Let’s introduce Gray Arrington’s Atomic Orange 2008 Z06, from Houston. Stock Z06 power is impressive, but thanks to Late Model Racecraft’s LS7 heads and 235/251 duration camshaft, and a screamin’ set of Kooks Long Tubes with an X-pipe, the C6 is rocking 582 rear-wheel horsepower. Airflow is unrestricted, flowing through a Callaway Honker cold air intake, and the under-drive pulley from ATI allows the LS7 to access all the available ponies. From a roll, the well-known G-lizard, flappy-paddle car, has no chance. The Katech LS9-X twin disc clutch prevents slip, and ground gripping 19-inch Forgeline wheels wrapped by Nitto Invo 345-rears says that Gray would fair well from a dig too, grabbing gears with an MGW short-throw shifter. Gray’s Godzilla encounter is purely “hypothetical,” of course!
