Let me explain more clearly - your "original" of this image is 1600 x 1067. That means in order to fit my screen at 1920 x 1080, I would have to stretch pixels and cause artifacting. On the other hand, the original image from McLaren Automotive is 5516 x 3677, so if I resize and crop to fit my screen, I get an excellent wallpaper with no loss of quality.

Yes, but if you save the original size for comparison, you will often see that the largest available expansion is not the same. That means that the website is resizing into poorer quality. Why bother with that? :)

You do know that you can click on options
and click on a bigger size.

It's a great image, but I will repeat for the benefit of all users that one should always post the largest possible high-quality size of any given photo. For instance, this one is available much larger at media.mclarenautomotive.com/img/2241/0/0/130221_mclaren_50th_canam1.jpg It's always better to upload a large image and then downsize. It's always WORSE to have to upsize a smaller image. Please keep this in mind.
