Vans and Vettes were the main focus of HOT ROD's editorial in the '70s, before Cool's roadster landed on the July '78 cover—and the spike in sales brought hot rods back to HOT ROD. It incorporated everything that made Kessler's roadster a standout, adding a little bit of show car, and then pushed everything to the extreme. This was the winner of the America's Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR) award at the Grand National Roadster Show in 1978.
