A number of Funny Cars have carried the Blue Max moniker since Harry Schmidt debuted the first Mustang at the 1970 Winternationals. Raymond Beadle bought him out in 1975, racing under the Blue Max name until retiring in 1989. This is the restored ’78 Plymouth Arrow campaigned when Beadle still drove.
