Todd Hoerner made drag racing history on a couple of fronts this past season while racing his ’12 Camaro within the ADRL Extreme Pro Stock (XPS) class. During the spring of 2012, Hoerner scored the first ever win for the fifth-generation Camaro in ADRL Pro Stock circuit racing and was also the first to do it with EFI. The ADRL is the first sanctioning body to legalize EFI for Pro Stock – that option was introduced to their rule book last year. Hoerner, originally from Washington state but now residing in Virginia, races a Jerry Bickel-built Camaro that features a very specialized mountain motor (825ci) program by Sonny Leonard. In fact, his potent car also doubles as a testbed for Sonny’s Racing Engines’ ongoing Chevrolet engine development.
