The Ringbrothers cars are always easily picked out in a crowd: They have a hallmark style that consists of body alterations that are always complementary to the original lines. Some are more easily overlooked than others, but the cars always have a distinct "custom" air about them. This Camaro, known as "The Grinch" (because what else do you call a car painted that color?), is by far their most subtle creation to date. At first glance, and even second glance, it appears to be a mostly stock second-gen Camaro with some nice wheels. That's exactly what the owner asked for, a perfected version of a second-gen that would be very hard to pick apart-even with a stock car parked next to it. To make that happen, Mike and Jim Ring had to keep their alterations very restrained, but make no mistake, there are tons of them all over the car. For example, the rockers have been lowered an inch, the nose and body lines have been reshaped, the wheelwells reshaped, the fender flares inverted for more tire room, the rear quarter lengthened, the rear bumper is from a '70 Mustang, and the hood is actually a new two-piece Ringbrothers part that has removable centersections for different looks. And that's just a tiny taste! The beauty of this trend is that the car will never really be out of style, since it stays true to the original look. Oh, and that paint? It's basically the original Citrus Green without the metallic and is available as Grinch Green from BASF.
