I have never driven an e30 m3 , but being a previous e46 m3 owner and current e36 m3 owner... I can tell you that the bmw is superior in just about every way... Why spend more for a car that doesn't perform as well? I know this is subjective, but the styling of the m3's are timeless, Great photo, would love to see one with all 4 generations

The power differences between the Mercedes 190E 2.x-16 Cosworth variants and the M3 variants are negligible.

I say this as an E30 owner, so don't jump down my throat. Just know what you're talking about if you're gonna blast someone else. =P
